EIFS Inspections for Commercial Properties

If you own or are buying a commercial property with EIFS (Exterior Insulated Finishing System), we recommend a highly specialized inspection designed to look for defects.

Why?

If EIFS is not designed & installed properly on a building, water can get into the walls at seams, like windows and doors, or where the EIFS joins other building materials like the roof.  This incidental moisture can get trapped behind the stucco and damage the underlying materials. This results in mold & wood rot that can cause significant damage.

The only way to determine if elevated moisture and EIFS defects are present is for a certified EIFS inspector to do an inspection with moisture detecting equipment.  Our EIFS inspections are performed by AWCI certified inspectors who provide written detailing any problems found.  This helps you protect your investment well into the future.

Many insurance companies now require specialized EIFS inspections to obtain and/or maintain building insurance.  PBI’s EIFS inspections and reports are designed to fully satisfy these requirements.

  • Our commercial property inspection professionals will meet you at the property and begin the assessment. During this appointment, they will take photos, make notes, and show you any defects they find. Your questions are welcomed so you can better understand the property.
  • Receive Report. Your detailed assessment report is emailed within 4-5 business days of the inspection.
